Closing Coordinator

The Closing Coordinator position works with clients, employees and vendors to finalize and execute successful loan closings within the commercial finance industry in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment. This position synchronizes the various parties, documents and processes required to produce a loan-ready-for-closing as scheduled and planned.   The ideal candidate will excel at juggling multiple hard deadlines and priorities where those variables will unexpectedly change. A successful Closing Coordinator enjoys synchronizing multiple people and processes and guiding those various moving parts to a successful conclusion in adherence with complex lending regulations.   This position is physically located at our Carmel, Indiana, headquarters.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Act as subject-matter expert for all applicable loan policies and procedures, both internally and as required by the HUD MAP Guide.
  • Organize and maintain accurate business deal files within internal systems.
  • Request required due diligence items from clients and other third parties.
  • Review legal documents for accuracy and collaborate with legal counsel to clear conditions required for closing.
  • Review internal production reports and accounting statements for accuracy.
  • Facilitate a high-quality flow of information with all internal and external stakeholders regarding progress and/or potential issues.
  • Answer client questions throughout the closing process.
  • Initiate the wire of funds to third parties as needed.
  • Deliver required closed-loan information to internal staff as appropriate and address any post-closing issues as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:  
  • Ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level in a business setting required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully both independently and in a team environment required.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet multiple competing deadlines required.
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution desired.
  • Previous work experience in a professional office environment required.
  • Prior experience with commercial, mortgage and/or HUD lending and closing is a plus.

Multifamily Portfolio Manager

The Multifamily Portfolio Manager position provides full service to an assigned portfolio of multifamily mortgage loans. This position performs day-to-day management of related loan activities including customer interaction, escrow management and compliance filings.   Success in this position will encompass providing exemplary external and internal customer service while performing and maintaining timely, accurate financial transactions and records associated with assigned loans.   This position is physically located at our headquarters in Carmel, Indiana.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Service, maintain and troubleshoot assigned portfolio of multifamily mortgage loans.
  • Input and maintain data using GinnieNet, FICS, Fannie Mae and Corelogic mortgage software.
  • Process postal mail, calls and emails directly with or on behalf of borrowers.
  • Manage escrow taxes, insurance, replacement reserve and repair accounts.
  • File and maintain UCC-3 forms online and hardcopy.
  • Interact with HUD, Fannie Mae and various governmental agencies via phone regarding compliance/procedural issues.
  Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:  
  • Prior multifamily mortgage banking and/or property management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HUD, Fannie Mae and various governmental agencies’ reporting requirements and regulations preferred.
  • Requires problem solving skills as well as the initiative to troubleshoot and find resolutions.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to identify, interpret and apply applicable guidelines in managing assigned processes.
  • Must possess strong organization and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Requires proficiency in using basic computer software such as Microsoft Office, specifically regarding Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully manage the demands of multiple deadlines while working as a team player with consideration for customers, co-workers and vendors.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred; high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.

Investor Accounting Specialist

The Investor Accounting Specialist manages the ongoing accounting requirements associated with GSE and bank loans within the commercial real estate finance industry. This position performs routine accounting tasks as a part of maintaining loan compliance standards.   The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent math and Excel skills and enjoy applying those skills in a commercial finance environment with a desire to grow in expertise within the role and department. A successful Investor Accounting Specialist places a high priority on accuracy and attention to detail in adherence with complex lending regulations.   This position is physically located at our Carmel, Indiana, headquarters.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Post payments, disbursements and interest on escrow.
  • Track and remit required payments per set schedules.
  • Perform routine monthly and quarterly reporting, including GNMA reporting.
  • Assist with audit processes and support department audit procedures.
  • Build new loans for accounting, working closely with closing group for accurate booking.
  • Complete general accounting tasks in support of the Investor Accounting department.
  Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:  
  • Excellent applied math skills in finance or accounting required.
  • Ability to use Excel at an intermediate to advanced level in a business setting required.
  • Proven ability to maintain high levels of accuracy with a strong attention to detail required.
  • Must exhibit strong organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully independently and in a team environment required.
  • Ability to use Word and Outlook at an intermediate level in a business setting required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution required.
  • Previous work experience in a professional office environment required.
  • Prior experience with commercial mortgages, HUD or FICS is a plus.
