Photo of Michael F. PetrieMr. Petrie co-founded P/R Mortgage & Investment Corporation with partner Randall Rogers in 1990. Prior to that, he served 10 years for Merchants Mortgage Corporation, an organization that specialized in the finance of multifamily rental housing, rising to the rank of Executive Vice President. In 1980, he was responsible for arranging the first Freddie Mac multifamily loan in the state of Indiana.

Mr. Petrie is a 1979 graduate of Indiana University’s School of Business with a major in Finance. He received his MBA in 1983 from Indiana University. In 1999 Mr. Petrie earned his Certified Mortgage Banker Designation (CMB) and in 2004 received the Accredited Mortgage Professional Designation (AMP). Mr. Petrie currently serves on the Board of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis, Merscorp Inc. (MERS), and the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Preservation (CHIP). He also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Indianapolis Housing Trust Fund.

In 2005, Mr. Petrie served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mortgage Bankers Association, Washington, D.C. Previously, Mr. Petrie has served on numerous professional and civic boards including the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, Near North Development Corp., Fannie Mae National Advisory Council, and the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, Advisory Committee for the Research Initiative on Rental Housing.

Mr. Petrie was awarded the "Sagamore of the Wabash" in 2004 and MBA’s Burton C. Wood Legislative Service Award in 2000.
